Kanye x Adidas

IMG_0954Kanye West is one of the most polarising and controversial people in the world of pop culture at the moment – the Grammys ceremony showcased this at its finest. The collaboration with Adidas launched Feb 12th in a similar way with the opening sound of “I’m here to crack the pavement”, “I want to create something better for you”. Taking his brave move into the fashion industry, his designs and collaborations are never far from the medias attention with spotlight always on what he’s doing next.

The military aspect of the collaboration a vital part and the most important. He said that the collection had come together due to the London riots a few years ago and therefore wanted to create a line which had a dystopian subtext within it. From the distressed knit to the backpacks that were featured with some of the outfits which came in line with his military flair.

Not only was the clothes a big hit at the NYFW event, it was the front row seats and the people starring in the show who got just as much attention. The front row couldn’t have much more power within it. Jay Z, Beyonce, Anna Wintour, Kim Kardashian, North West but to name a few all took front seat at the show to watch the visionary showcase his collaboration. Taking part in the show was a very familiar face within the Kardashian family, Kylie Jenner took spotlight within the show as she was chosen to model some of his collection which was a massive achievement for her as she’s become a style icon and has always learnt from Kanye’s fashion.

“I want to create something better for you. We have been limited. It’s bigger than who I am even in this — my presence, living. It’s about, you know, when I was on earth, what did I do to help? I want people to think more, I want people to feel like it’s okay to create and follow what their dreams are and not feel boxed in. I want people to feel like awesome is possible. There’s a lack of creativity in every field, because people are afraid. As an artist, and in this world, we can do whatever we want.” – Post influenced by Courtney Paul.
